We had family member”s watch our German shepherd while my parents house got flooded and he lost most of his training. This included him starting to aggressively bark at people and not being able to be calm. Shayla had done more than an excellent job in being able to train our dog figgy we can now take him on walks without worrying about him barking or being aggressive. Our dog figgy stated a bit of separation anxiety and even though my husband and I had kennel trained since he was puppy he just wasn’t able to be left home alone. Now he knows specific commands and is able to be in a kennel by himself. I’m so thankful for Shayla because I don’t know what we would have done without her.
i’ve had the best experience with Canine Community. I took my dog Ellie to Shayla and she did two week training session and I’ve also boarded her there. I would highly recommend this business to anyone needing help with training, and boarding. She treats my dog Ellie the way I treat her with lots of love and care.
Thank you for taking such great care of my baby during her 6 week board and train. We sent our Stella to Shayla when we found out we were going to be having our first little one and knew that Stella could be territorial. Our son just turned 1 and they are still best friends with no problems! We couldn’t be more happy with canine community center.
Shayla knows what she is doing! She has helped me and my dogs so much! I did do the 2 week board and train with one of mine that is particularly stubborn and thinks for herself as she is half German Shepherd and half Great Pyrenees! I do I have a working line 9 week old puppy and plan on sending him as soon as he’s old enough! I promise you she’s the best trainer in Spokane!
If you want a calm, well balanced, well behaved dog, Shayla is the one to go with. She took my BIG GSD 6 months old from super active out of control craziness to a nice calm and controlled dog with confidence. I can now take him in stores with no issues. Can go to the park “off leash” with confidence. You will not be disappointed ‼️
Shayla LaMonica is an excellent dog trainer. She has helped us so much with our rough collie Sonora. She is excellent not only with the dogs but with their owners. Our family highly recommends her.
We sent our dog for training with Shayla for two weeks. She updated us along the way and sent videos. Our 2 1/2 year old Sammy was very anxious and struggled with the door bell, aggressive behavior and barking. Shayla found out what our bell sounded like and played it at her home for hours to desensitize his fear. She taught him several commands and even worked on “place” for him to go when he needs to calm down or if someone is coming to the door. She spent 3 sessions with my husband and I to show us what he was learning and what to do. Since he has been home he has continued to show what he learned with Shayla. He sits, lies down and goes to his place on command. Shayla’s kindness, expertise and consistency when training our dog was more than we even expected. I could tell when she returned him that they had created a wonderful bond and we will be sending him for boarding in the future. I would highly recommend her for dog training. She is simply the best!
My baby girl Nellie is a whole different, better version of herself! Shayla took her in for the two week Board N Train as I recently had back surgery and she did amazing things! I have a husky chow mix and she is just a hyper, diligent, alpha little female and Shayla turned her into the most caring, well behaved girl I’ve ever met! The commands are simple and so easy to reinforce at home. I am so pleased with all Nellie has learned. My 7 year old is confident to take her out to potty now, he isn’t scared she will pull him down the stairs and loves practicing her commands with her. Highly recommend Shayla, she truly is a Godsend! Forever thankful.
Shayla is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic canine handler! She takes the care of all dogs at The Canine Community Center very seriously! She is responsible, dedicated and loves her canine companions! I trust her completely!
Canine Community Center did a wonderful job training our reactive dog Trigger. He came with that name and it described him perfectly but after training with Shayla I’m able to take him out walking in our busy neighborhood.
